I don't get it.

It takes me three hours to get a decent fire burning.

It takes a friend of mine a can of lighter fluid, five logs of firewood, and a match to get a fire going that looks like it's been burning for hours straight.

Yet, I spend the time trying to nurture it and get it to be hot as hell... While she just tosses whatever she can find on it, and it burns instantly.

Stupid fires.

Sure is a nice day outside. I've gotta start visiting the beach across the street before it becomes too cold to enjoy it... That'll last for months, unfortunately.

The nights are spectacular. Lately I've been sitting outside, tending to a fire, watching the stars. The view is incredible because a small town has very little light pollution, which causes the sky to be glowing and hard to see through.

Can't wait until Lynne is here so she can see it for herself...
